He's not the type of artist who rushes anything and he loves the process of recording the album.
His excuses were that he wasn't ready to return to the world of music, that he wanted to hold off on recording new music to develop some ideas, that he wanted to conceptualize something a little bit more, that he wanted to apply what he's learned from acting in movies to music... Thankfully, he had no forthcoming film gigs on his plate lately (not counting promoting "Friends with Benefits" and "In Time,)" so he has spent some time in the studio this summer. He says that the album is right around the corner and that 2011 might be the year for him to finally return to his musical roots.
I'm here for that
