It's not the first big news involving SEACREST recently, as ALL ACCESS reported in AUGUST, SEACREST was rumored to be in line for MATT LAUER's job at the TODAY SHOW
"If a deal closes," notes THR, "SEACREST would serve as an influential partner, offering his producing skills, his connections to talent and potentially some on-air contributions, though sources say the role is yet to be totally fleshed out."
