Why do I see everyone posting threads early, then getting accused of trying to get a "hit thread?" Is it true that posted it early to get a "hit thread?" Is it true that others are jealous? Is it really that important to everyone to have a thread with a lot of comments? Is that everyone's goal in life, to gain relevancy on ATRL?
It depends. When someone posts a thread saying a video has been released, yet the video hasn't it makes the person look really thirsty. It only causes chaos, especially if it's a big pop star who has a large fan base on ATRL.

There is a positive to adding music video threads early and that is that when the video comes out, there won't be 2423545 members making a thread of it and the mods having to merge all of them.

The late people usually make a second thread anyway.
No one really even acknowledges the OPoster... so I never really got a point in trying to have a hit thread.
ALSO.
Even though I did it before.....
To all of you who tweet your threads so you have like 100 guests in it need to STAWP. You're bringing un- needed traffic to the site. K?

Right! No one is there for the OP, they're there for the content.
I guess it makes them important to have it and make it 2 hours early, like Skin said.
