In 2011, is race still a major factor to you? On many different Internet sites (Youtube, especially..) you see comments left like the one below.

This is not to say racism is a one sided issue, it has MANY different sides indeed. But it is very shocking and honestly very sad to me that to this very day, disgusting people like this still exist in 2011, which begs the question, is Racism still a factor to you? If so, please explain..

Racism will never go away.

It's almost as if people can say whatever they want on Youtube comments with hardly a result. I know, I don't get it either.

its still ingrained in a lot of people because for some people, their living grandparents have these views. i think racism will eventually disappear for the most part, but i doubt that it will ever be completely eradicated, sadly.

For me Racism is like Homofobia.

You should see StormFront. A forum made just because blacks have BET and because other races have things similiar. They go under the guise that they aren't being racist, just trying to promote their race.

Racism and prejudices will always be passed down to children and taught and learned in every kind of community, it will always exist as long as man is living. For some, they need to be educated and more open minded so that stupid **** won't be said.

I don't get called a "******" daily, but I know these people are still out there. Body language also tells all.
But for the most part, my city and area has been welcoming to all races and backgrounds besides the people who are in power/business.

Youtube comments irk me but I can't help but laugh at the stupidity.
