I got this thread from PEX and whenever I'm at home during sleep hours, I always browse that thread for fun. Now, I think it's fun to carry over that thread here in ATRL. I'll post some scary stories that were posted there here.

This is a story told to me by my Dad who grew up in the province in Mindanao. This happend to one of his barkada and they just finished their drinking session but he said it was already past 8pm and considering back in the early 60s only several houses had electricity so he told his barkada to just sleep at their house but since there was no landline phones or cp back then his friend insisted of going home since he didnt tell his parents that he was staying over. So reluctantly my grandparents allowed the friend of my Dad to go home.

The following morning their place was a buzz with the news that my Dad's friend was found atop a very high Lawaan tree at the edge of the forest and nobody knew how he got up there and it took them more than half a day to get him down. After 3 days of not being able to talk or sleep my Dad's friend finally narrated his story:

As he walked back from my Dad's house he was surprised to see a car and back then they essentially knew everyone who owned a vehicle in their small town so he was surprised to see one that he barely recognized and the car stopped beside him and the door opened and he saw a very beautiful mestiza driving the car. The girl offered him a ride home and maybe sensing a jackpot he agreed at once. He was definitely intoxicated but not to the point of not knowing where and what was happening and what shocked him at once was when he sat down and closed the door he saw big houses around them all well lit as if he was automatically transported to a different place when infact he knew he was walking on a dirt road heading home. The streets even had street lights according to my Dad's friend in his narration. Then obviously enticed by this mestiza he agreed to passby the house of the girl. The girl said that they can eat in her house with her parents and she asked just one condition and that is never to ask for salt. So the friend of my dad went to the place of the girl and he said it was a very big house with a lot of gold figures on display.

When they were about to eat he even noticed that the food utensils where made of gold. The parents of the girl were tall and mestizo and mestiza as well. When the food was served and they started eating and I guess due to his being tipsy he forgot what the girl said to him and mistakenly asked for salt for the food he was eating then at that instant he automatically saw himself sitting on a branch on top of the lawaan tree. The tree was so tall that he just stayed there and spent the night shouting for help.

I am not sure what's with salt but that's what my dad told me and I went to their town several times already and its really an old town with a feeling of mystery to it.

I heard this in Bohol whilst buying soda at a sari sari store..

A Coke truck delivery driver was sure he got the address right ( it was a little over ten pm when he got there) and the 'store' he was supposed to deliver coke to was just a big, old tree.

I don’t know if you guys heard about the infamous “red tag” story that took place in one of the oldest unis in manila..

A doctor and a nurse boarded the elevator.
When suddenly a hysterical woman in a hospital gown was running towards them waving her arms screaming, “wait! wait! hold the door!
Just when the woman was about to get in, the doctor frantically pressed the “close” button.

The nurse, annoyed by the doctor’s insensitivity, glared at the doctor and said,
‘I cant believe you did that! You can see she was rushing to get in and you did not even bother to “hold” the door. That was really rude of you, doctor!

The young doctor, his face pale from disbelief, beads of cold sweat forming in his forehead; turned to the nurse and said,
“ Didn’t you notice the tag on her wrist?” SHE WAS WEARING A RED TAG!
She was my patient and she died a couple of hours ago”

The nurse, sensing the fear in the young doctor’s voice; slowly raised her hand so that the doctor can see her wrist.
“ RED TAG? You mean, like this one?”

I wish I could post more but most of the stories are in Tagalog. It's so damn hard to translate.

My friend used to work in Ortigas; her office was at the 5th floor of an old building rumored to be teeming with ghosts and other dark entities.

She was working late one night and hardly noticed that it was past 2am. She was the only one in that floor but she felt an errie sense that she was being watched. As she walked down the dimly lit hallway, She was sure that she was being followed.

Panicked but still able to maintain her composure, she went to the elevator; pressed the ground button and waited. Her skin was already crawling with goosebumps by the time the elevator arrived (it was empty, by the way. )

And when she got in, a loud "buzz" indicating an overload went off.

She was totally spooked and resigned the next day.

It was dark and i was all alone. Not a sound could be heard. It was eerily serene but I had an ominous feeling that I was somehow in grave danger. I took a deep breath and pressed play, but nothing could prepare me for the HORROR that began.

And then the nightmare began. I wanted it to end but i was helpless.I tried to scream but it was drowned out by auto-tuned screaming, flat beats and cringe-wrothy song lyrics.

Some of my friends, five of us, cramped ourselves into a small bathroom in my friend Cathryn's House. We ended up saying Bloody Mary (more like chanting it) about 20 times or so for anything to appear. When we did finally see something it started out as a green glow then the darkened portrait of a face became more visible, by that time half of us were screaming so we knocked each other down trying to get out of the bathroom and then I flipped on the light. It was a welcome relief.

I didn't write that, I got it off the internet. I'll share my own later.
