All the US does now a days is import almost everything and that is not solving any issues

It's not exactly the same. The number for US just represents the figure that they can spend before hitting the self-imposed debt ceiling. While the Apple figure represents the amount of cash that they have on their balance sheet. Still

So is Apple going to overthrow the government?

Major companies in America would rather outsource their jobs. Cheaper labor = a bigger profit. Our economy is **** because companies aren't really willing to pay people here to work for them when they can pay people overseas to do the exact same thing for little to nothing. I guess it's smart, but at the same time people are broke and can't afford to pay for their products so it may backfire on them. I hate Apple, but then again I can't live without. I, at one point, wanted to boycott all of these companies, but people just don't realize how much the US outsources. It's almost impossible.

Hopefully that way we could all live in iHomes and drive iCars. Or maybe ride iBicycles if we don't want to pay for iGas.

Exactly. It's no secret that we live in a consumer economy. The government keeps favoring big business over the average citizen in an attempt to "stimulate our economy," when in reality, the only thing that would do it best is giving people jobs and thus discretionary income to spend.

That what happens when you have million being spent every day unnecessarily.

Y'all do realize this has been going on for YEARS, right? It's not so much just the administration at hand. It's just the fact that we're already in such a deep hole that the possibility of us crawling out is becoming more and more out of reach.

Like I said millions of jobs are outsourced and millions are unemployed all in the same. Not only that, technology is also taking over many jobs. For instance, when you call a customer service hotline, you're either talking to a foreigner or a computer. Small businesses are going under and losing money because the average person is living paycheck to paycheck now. It's serious. Watching the news is so depressing now. Peoples houses are going into foreclosure, more and more families are homeless, can't afford to feed themselves, etc.

It's ridiculous how in our minds, America is considered one of the most prestigious and powerful countries in the world yet we rely so heavily on so many others. We're not as independent as it seems. We have the resources to be, but we're too greedy and arrogant to actually do it.

The American government is such a mess right now.....****ing Tea Party and Fox News.
