Umm, I think the point of this thread is to be sarcastic about the argument that straight people make better parents, when in reality there are all these examples of straight parents who were not only terrible parents, but also psychopaths. Ultimately, straight parents can't be judged on these extreme cases, though, and it doesn't make gay parents any more or less viable either. Good parenting is something people have or they don't, and it has nothing to do with their orientation.

Don't see anything wrong with two loving parents taking after abandoned children. Straights are capable of being horrendous parents, as explained by the OP. So should foster children just go to 'better' straight parents? What characteristics do gay people exhibit that should forbid them raising children? If gays can't adopt, then neither should heterosexuals. It is better to have children raised in healthy environment than it is to leave them all abandoned.
