VMAs: Your Favorite Left-Field Best Choreography Nominees
So i was looking at some of the reactions people had to "The Lazy Song" getting a nod for Best Choreography, and I noticed that its nomination seemed a bit out of left-field. Not that it doesn't make sense that the video was considered, since it's all choreography, but he just doesn't fit in with the typical artists who get nods in this category: (1) Pop divas, (2)Boy-bands and girl groups, and (3) artists who make danceable or party music.
Thus, this got me thinking about other times in which there have been Choreography nominees who seemed to have come out of left-field (i.e., got unexpected nominations) or just don't seem to belong with the other nominated artists. I've compiled a list of 20such "left-field" nominees. Pick your faves (it's multiple choice), and check out those you've never seen before!!! (I don't expect you to watch all 20, though )
