But let's explain everything.
-
So yesterday has popped out another bitter UK review, but this time they went too far. UK music site named noripcord.com (which counts for Metacritic) reviewed Beyonce's "4" album with 2/10 rating.
Some highlights:
Quote:
it’s amazing how enthralling it can be to watch someone strut around the stage without even attempting to pretend to sing whilst their own voice plays blatantly in the background
|
Quote:
diva posturing – and no stranger to girl-group infighting or allegations of plagiarism
|
Quote:
Beyoncé may be an R&B singer but she is judged by the same criteria as pop tarts like Katy Perry, Rihanna and (former cohort) Lady Gaga.
|
Quote:
Where this album should be fresh and current, it sounds tired, repetitive and uninspired.
|
Quote:
4 is that rare thing: an R&B album with no soul.

@mcginleygary I envisioned a backlash but this is turning nasty! How do you feel about the harsher comments? Would you like me to delete...

@davenoripcord So, has @mcginleygary's Beyonce review passed the Owl City review in hits yet?

Now tell me how Metacritic can use this for their site? I simply don't understand. We can't call that "a review".
