His songs are about coming-of-age and problems that people go through growing-up. His music is suitable for his target audience and he has made a lot of money off that.
The question is, if Bieber will transition to an adult pop artist like Justin Timberlake
There's no specific reason for it.... Every couple of a years a new 'it" boy comes to the music scene:
The Hanson Brothers, Aaron Carter, Jonas Brothers, and Justin Bieber.... In a couple of years he's going to grow up and someone new is going to be in the scene.
Young girls will grow up and move on to the next big thing,
Hm.. he really isn't THAT big outside the U.S. though. Anyone know his album stats?
Well...My Worlds sold over 5 million copies last year and his Never Say Never remix album is platinum in the US. He's incredibly huge WW on a level that only Gaga and Rihanna enjoy, really.
