There are plenty of superhero movies being released, but they all are received with mixed reaction or just generally poorly (Green Lantern, Hulk, Spider-Man 3, etc.). Some of them may make the bank, but they don't make for quality movies & experience, mutually liked by both casual moviegoers & proffesional critics alike.

The Dark Knight broke this rule. It managed to be a superhero movie with a blockbuster budget & cast, but still managed to be filled with quality, character analysis, controversy, & praise. Tell me what other superhero movie has it all like that movie. Simply superb. Batman is by far the best hero to make a movie out of, seeing the extreme dark nature & thoughts of the original comic.

Is there any other superhero that, with a movie, could manage to repear the numbers & the quality (Iron Man is well-received & all but it just isn't the same in my opinion. It doesn't leave a strong impact on me after I watch it) of The Dark Knight? Besides the upcoming TDK Rises, of course. What made TDK so above the others, in your opinion?

Spider-Man 2 was very well-received.

It was. My bad. The 3rd one wasn't, I personally hated it.

Well, the reason TDK did so spectacular is because of the controversy and timing of Heath Ledger's death.

And also it didn't help that the movie itself was good.

They are getting kinda repetitive.

What's also great about Batman is that he is seen as both a hero & a villian.

I don't know where to begin.

How did it do at the Box Office?

I've never loved the X-Men movies.

They focus much more on special effects and not on the actual script.

Hero movies are lame. I can't stand them.
Do they really expect us to appreciate a movie where a man wearing a leather suit has the power to save the whole world in one night?

X-Men: First Class was horrible

Since when are Transformers superheroes?

And please don't try to type me that T3 was as critically acclaimed as the one & only Dark Knight.

All of the new comic hero movies are relatively unknown characters
So less people will want to see them
so less money will be made on them

Transformers without Megan Fox is a no.
