Most people think they're above average when it comes to general intelligence. But for the average to exist, some people must be below it.

Lets see how ATRLers rate their own intelligence.

I think I'm smart...but that's because a lot of my friends tell me so. But no matter how smart I think I am, I don't do very well in Calculus, my "favorite" class so I'm not THAT smart. But my 3.9 GPA doesn't lie

Hm... Do you mean smart as in school or...? If so, yes, I'm pretty smart. I have a great average and I'm always exempt from my final exams.

oh ok, I think I'm very smart. I'm still in high school and I have a 100 average I'm taking AP and Honor classes, and I'm in the top 5 rank in my class. Other than that, I grasp new stuff very easy and very good at understanding something that would be difficult for someone else. I'm really good in Math/Computer Sciences.

EDIT: I would change my vote, I think I'm smart but not that smart, because there's always room for improvement.

Yes I know "smartness" is hard to define and is pretty subjective. But IQ might be a good indicator to go by. Or just your self-assessment. Would you say you are smart/intelligent? I don't think a low GPA is necessarily a proof of someone being dumb.

I don't mean to be arrogant, but I was salutatorian of my class and I go to an Ivy League university. I voted 10 for myself but I think every day I spend on ATRL makes me dumber...

I am very what you would call "Street Smart" My sense of logic is well, i do well in school I don't get 100's I stick to my 70-80 Average. I would rate myself a 6

Exactly! I completely agree with your post. I voted 5, because, despite being smart in school, I still have a lot of things to learn and discover in life.

I get good grades, but for me school reflects how hard you try more than intelligence. I would say I'm a 6, partially based on the many times I've pushed doors that say "pull" and done things like that

I'd never vote 10 though, that's self conceited, and there's always room for improvement. But this 4.0 GPA don't lie.

A 9. Like Good_Doc_Gone_Bad said, I would never vote myself a 10 because that is just pompous and a lie. You can always improve yourself and your mind.

I hate saying that I'm a 9 in intelligence because it can sound kind of arrogant, but I spent most of my non-University schooling pretending that I was dumber than I am simply because I didn't want to come across as a nerd or someone who thought they were better than everyone else. I'm finally at a place where I admit that I am highly intelligent and that I was usually the smartest kid in my class. It's not rude, it's simply the truth. I have a hard time talking to a lot of people (not on ATRL, for the most part) because they just aren't on my level where I can have a good conversation with them.

This all sounds so pompous, but it's really how I am.
