For the past couple of days on multiple threads, I have been seeing many broad generalizations being made about the ATRL populace. Particularly in the iTunes thread I had a conversation with a certain member who will be unnamed as to why country male artists are suddenly so popular. I could have worded my sentence better, because it elicited a response to the likes of, "God, these prissy people on ATRL don't know real music blah blah blah and they just are a bunch of queens who listen to only the pop girls blah blah blah." I shrugged it off at the time.
But real talk. Are you (we) as obsessed with our pop girls as we seem? Are we alienating ourselves by ignoring other genres of music?
Just a thought, any responses would be appreciated.
