The former X Factor judge and the show boss seem to have decided to put the past behind them and move on.

Cheryl Cole has made contact with Simon Cowell after her shock X Factor USA axe, and the pair have “agreed to patch things up” according to sources.
The Geordie singer, who went into hiding and refused to talk to Cowell for several weeks after the news broke, reportedly decided enough was enough and made the decision to sort things out once and for all.
An insider told Heat magazine
:“Cheryl and Simon had a long conversation and they’ve agreed to patch things up. Simon had texted Cheryl numerous times with no reply and Cheryl finally called him and broke down about everything that had happened.“She admitted that she was very bitter and took a lot of it out on him. It was a very emotional chat, and at one point she just broke down crying and even apologise for all the embarrassment it had caused.”
The insider added: “She said that not having him in her life wasn’t an option, and she missed his constant companionship and advice.
It
looks like the heart-to-heart worked wonders, and Simon is said to have promised to help Cheryl continue in her bid to crack the States by getting her to appear on the US singing show.“Simon explained how he did everything he possibly could to get her back on the show,” the source explained.
“He said he had found it difficult to go back on the panel without her and told Cheryl he’d do everything he can to make it up to her – including giving her the chance to perform and be a guest mentor on the US X Factor.”
In the last week Cheryl has sent out a clear message that she’s ready to move on with her life following the American X Factor drama.
The star made her first appearance back in public last week with a new cropped blonde hairstyle, opened up an official Twitter account to keep fans updated on her career, and has allegedly reunited with ex-husband Ashley Cole.
HMM something really tells me her US debut is closer that what I expected. SOmehow I think she will appear on the US x factor in some kinda role.
Simon knows it will get him lots of press and he loves that kinda ****.
