I'm a stan, so my armor is always on. My love for Beyonce is 100% pure and can never be anything but love, so for me "Year Of 4" was just another documentary seeing the queen be humble and naturally a good spirit. But for a lot of other people (non stans, maybe not even fans) they felt like it humanized her. Ive seen people say they listened to the album because of it, purchased the album because of it, or became a fan. Now, while I'm happy for them and ima let them finish, it was only 30 ****ing minutes so what the hell? I was shocked to see that "Year Of 4" has garnered over 1 million views a day and is the most viewed video on Vevo today as a matter of fact. Did you really have that much of a bad perception of Beyonce as a person that a 30 minute documentary changed your mind about who she was? Or did it just make you lean more towards liking her because you weren't that much of a fan before?
Well I have always loved Beyonce, and I loved the album 4. So it didn't really change anything. But I sitll love that documentary. So meaningful and she is so humble <3
Definetly. She was so sweet in the video and it touched my heart. I also saw that she loves everybody close to her and she loves what she's doing right now!
Let's say many things led me to liking Beyonce even more and "Year Of The 4" was the icing on the cake.
When I heard "4" for the first time, I went in with solid expectations of what I was going to find. I didn't like "Run The World" and I thought "4" was "Sasha Fierce 2.0". The Glastonbury performances gave me a clear idea of what she wanted to achieve with this album (melodies, a vocal showcase) and "Year Of The 4" sealed the deal for me. I learned to appreciate how much effort she put into this album, the "Run The World" choreo/video and how much she believes in it.
Not gonna lie, yes. I thought she was very bitchy before but now I realize how down to earth she is.
Also very determined to get what needs to be done herself and she doesnt rely on others.
