I never really listened to Selena but I was thinking about this last night. She has released 3 albums since 09, similar to Rihanna having released 5 albums in five years. I think her team is trying to follow Rihanna's formula and see if it works. To keep releasing music so she stays in everyone's play list until she stumbles on a really hot record.

I in no means think that she has even reached half of RIhanna's success during her third album but do you think that she will reach that milestone soon and that her next album after WTSGD will be her GGGB?

I mean if she continues to release albums like this? She has all the formulas to become just as big at this point: hottest writers, producers, a fan base from WWP, an amazing stylist and a popular boyfriend that helps her make headlines.

Rihanna had all this too; she has Evan & Carl, Neyo, The-Dream, fans from her first two albums, a groundbreaking hairstyle and had just started dating CB when GGGB dropped.

Do You think Selena can do it with her next record? Get a number one single? Get a number one album?

Unfortunately, Unless she releases a ****ographic-like music video/song and releases nude pictures.. she'll never make it big. That's the sad truth.

Actually, I'd like change up what I just said. I think if she released Whiplash as a 3rd single from WTSGD + the right promo.. she can actually get the publicity she needs.

No, mostly because Selena isn't as passionate in music as Rihanna is. Rihanna has made music her life, Selena perfers acting. Her album coming out on Tuesday is supposed to be her last one. And she's also releasing a spanish EP and she's done.

They both sing pop music. and what is most popular at the time too. No one expected Rihanna to still be here but she is and bigger than almost everyone. Selena can do it too.
