He will sell 2 copies or something no talking and no one knows that he is releasing something and the first single was bad and BOMBED, the best IDOL ever, so sad!
It's a good album but there's no outstanding tracks.
Everything is good but nothing more =/
I agree with this...It's an okay album to listen to all the way but there's a distinct lack of standout songs or hooks in general. The songs are all pretty similiar thematically and structurally too, but he has a great voice, and most of the songs are still good, but not great. =]
HDD predicts:
*David Cook (19/RCA/RMG) 38-43k
Huge drop from his first album that opened with 280K. I thought he would sell more. I was guessing 60-80k, since he was on Idol twice and even had the freaking 'good bye' song... his voice was heard every week for like 3/4 months? I think compared to other acts in his genre he's pretty much right where those bands debut at. I take it as he's reaching those fans but the Idol afterglow has left and moved on.
Do you guys think the new team at RCA will help promote his next single? Help push the album? Or do you think his album will get lost in the Sony shuffle going on?

Oh, it's almost certainly going to get lost/abandoned/whatever. With the lead single flopping and no other obvious hits (I think "Paper Heart" could do well if managed carefully, but I doubt it will) on the album, they'll probably focus their attention on other acts who can do more for them right now.

Sad but true
Well at least he'll tour and his fans will be happy. He seems happy with the material, so good for him.

Yeah. It would be better if he could get better sales, but maybe he'll surprise us with a bit of longetivity. And besides, the tour's going to be awesome no matter what!
^ Males in general are flopping in pop right now...David's music is rock, yes, but apparently his last album didn't click with those fans, and all the idol/pop buyers have left him now.
