No shade. It seemed like it had everything going for it - heavily buzzed UK girl with big voice, Dr. Luke production/co-write, B.o.B. feature, tons of promo. So why did it not become the hit here that it became in parts of Europe?

It's just not good enough

Nothing is guaranteed. It's just one of those situations where a song just doesn't become a smash regardless of its factors.

I bought it and listened to it like 2 times. It got boring real quick. Listeners probably felt the same about the song. :-\

I think its good just not good enough and also I think it could've used more promo honestly.

It didn't have the "it" factor that makes certain songs hits and there was no real push for it. It just sort of came out of nowhere. I think it did well enough.

I'm with the other posters, the song got old very quickly.

So are many Dr Luke tracks that go #1, I actually really like Price Tag.

I think it needed more promo, she's not very well known in the US and Dr Luke usually works with big names.
