Sandra Gillette Romero was born in New Jersey and grew up in Houston and Chicago where she worked with 20 Fingers (Producers Charlie Babie and Manfred Mohr) that brought her instant fame in the US, Europe and Latin America.
In 1994, Gillette's first single "Short Dick Man" reached the top 5 in several European countries, including Italy, Germany, and France (where the single reached number one for three weeks). It also reached #1 in Mexico, #14 in the U.S. and was a club success. In 1995, "Short Dick Man" was re-released in the UK in its censored version, "Short Short Man", and remixed by Strike. This new version reached #11, whereas the original only reached #21 in the UK Singles Chart in 1994.
"On the Attack" also sprung singles like: Mr. Personality, You're a Dog and Move too Fast.
Gillette's success continued with her second album "Shake Your Money Maker", with which she extensively toured Latin America until she became pregnant of her first child. Singles from this album were "Do Fries go with that Shake", "Bounce" and "Weekend".
Gillette's third album "Did I say That?" was yet again another collaboration with Charlie and Manny Mohr but this time under Jellybean Benitez's label. The album sprung the single: "Sex Tonight".
Gillette is now married and has several children, but performs once in a while and doesnt completely rule out making a comeback sometime!
