There are several posters that I pay close attention to and wouldn't jump over their posts even in huge threads that I just skim over.

Some are reasonable and some aren't, at the end of the day it's an opinion whether invalid or not.

personal opinions are what make this site fun. especially the ones that are messy and incoherent.

Agreed. Do poorly formed opinions make the site less enjoyable though? For me sometimes it makes it feel like, as a whole, we're being presented as naive and unable to form coherent thoughts.
