Now that’s she’s conquered music, Nicki Minaj has set her sights on Hollywood. The head Barb has expressed plans to pursue acting and has one big-time actor on her wish list of co-stars.
“I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper. It just fell in my lap,” Nicki told Entertainment Weekly at the MTV Movie Awards. “So I would like to get an acting gig. I hope that when I am done with the tour I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”
And just who would she like to work with? “Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model,” she explained. “And [Alice in Wonderland director] Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”
Before she hits the big screen, the “Super Bass” rapper is polishing her set for Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale” tour. “I want to go all out and make it over the top and theatrical. There will be costume changes and hair changes. Lots of sexy outfits and dancing,” she said. “I don’t know how to do things normal and boring. Why? People pay good money for concert tickets these days.”

This just makes her less authentic and genuine.

No it makes her more eclectic. Its not that she hates rapping its that her passion is geared more toward acting. After all what does she do in most of her music videos? She puts on a show. She acts. Let me just say this though even though acting may be her true passion I believe she will be depriving alot of people of what they REALLY want which is her music regardless of whether she's a good actress or not. I for one cant say she's a better actress than she is a rapper because her musical mind is what I came to know and love first>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I do, everytime she uStreams and talks to her fans about their lives and not just about a new single or new album she's trying to promote. You dont even know about Nicki or who she's affected so dont assume and speak for anyone but yourself.
I hope she does, she'd most likely do amazingly at acting.
And I bet she felt so damn confused at why she was even at the Movie Awards two nights ago.. All she did was present. Now maybe a year or two from now we may see her take some trophies home.
