The-Dream will be releasing his 4th Studio Album currently titled
The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man) December 2011.
Earlier this year, The-Dream told MTV News that he was calling in all favors enlisting an all-star cast of guest features for his forthcoming LP: Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Mary J. Blige, and possible Dr. Dre. In addition to working with his partner Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, he also plans to hit the studio with producers Polow Da Don, Carlos McKinne. (Video below).
According to The-Dream via his twitter, this album looks like it is going to be very personal. He says: "This album is very Honest! Discretion is advised!!!! this album has no intent to offend! i just want to be as pure as i can. If people really wanted to know what happened in the past, they would listen really close to Take Care of Me via LoveKing. i dont Write Songs just to write them nor do i ever Sing about something not honest to my view or heart so my records are ME!
"‘Love King’ was rushed and the label was in transition. I was the only one that was stupid enough to put out an album while in transition. A “Rookie Mistake”. But it helped me a lot in re assuring to me that it takes a team to win. I’ve grown more and I’m producing outside of myself more and that’s really a joy. I’m really happy about my production growth in being able to have the patience to completely take a record from A-Z.”
“What Madman means to me, is that I’m going to tell you what you don’t want to hear, but what you need to hear. Not politically correct, true, real and raw! There’s a Real World out there where people break up, fall in Love, break up again. There are real relationship problems that don’t taste like candy and more of those exist than the sweet toffee ones we think we know about. Life is Real. Failure at all points of a life is necessary and inevitable, because you never learn from success you learn from failure.”
