Beyoncé releasing exclusive edition of '4' for Target
When Beyoncé's next album, "4," comes out on June 28, Target stores will carry an exclusive version of the album with extra tracks included, retail sources told Billboard. At press time it was unclear just how many additional tracks will be included; one source said four but another said the contents of the exclusive package had not been finalized. Several online reports provide a tracklisting for a European Deluxe Edition that includes six extra tracks: "Lay Up Under Me," "Schoolin' Life," "Dance for You" and three remixes of "Run the World (Girls)."
Sources said that currently Sony Music Entertainment will be shipping about 1 million units of the CD version of the album. Spokespeople for Target and Sony had not granted Billboard's requests for comment at press time.
Beyoncé has unveiled three of the 12 core songs from the album thus far: "Run the World (Girls)"; "1+1" was performed on "American Idol" season finale, and "Best Thing I Never Had" was released last week. "End of Time" has also surfaced on the internet, though it is unclear if the final album mix will differ.
More tracks please! Japan is getting a bonus track "Dreaming" and I hope that she'll add something different for the Target edition. Like 3 additional songs instead of those remixes.
She should just make like GaGa and release both versions at all retailers (including CVS, Whole Foods, etc.). I would much rather buy the deluxe edition without having to support Target.
