I just don't respond to Lady Gaga the way all of you do and I don't know why. She does have a message with her music and she's essentially a good, nice person. She doesn't try to be anyone she's not and she encourages her fans to be themselves no matter what, and that's admirable!

She makes good, catchy pop music - what's not to like?

But why do I not have Born This Way on iTunes? Why do I always bash her and her fans?

I think maybe pressure, to not like her? I think liking Lady Gaga is one of those things that is not considered cool in school. My brothers would come back from school and tell me how their friends teased them for liking her. I thought that was pretty stupid but then I remembered, back when I was in school liking the spice-girls MJ, boybands etc. was not cool.

I agree that the whole "the way a gay teenager should" doesn't really register with me.

When I was a gay teenager, I was into emo/punk/rock and all of that because it was what resonated with me at the time. It wasn't until I went to college and started partying a little more and going out and all of that that I got into pop/dance/r&b more. If the music doesn't click with you, it isn't a big deal. You might grow to appreciate her (I didn't used to see Kylie's appeal...now she is my one and only)...but there is so much music out there that there isn't any reason everyone should like one artist/group

I know where your coming from. I usually like/stan the "it" artist, the big thing at the moment. But for some reason i'm not a stan of gaga. I honestly do like her, but im not crazy about her or stan her the way I have always Loved Britney Spears, or recently Rihanna. I think ultimately it comes down to the music. While her music isn't to different from the other pop acts out there, I can't find myself to stan over it. I have my faves gaga songs here and there like (paparazzi, bad romance, Alejandro..etc) but that's it. While the artist i stan for i love all their material.

You are not alone. I don't like her too. And it's nothing to do with my fave. She's just not my cup of tea. Though I like some of her songs but don't like her as an artist.
