Lil Kim & Keyshia Cole spar over friendship on Twitter
Keyshia Cole is having a rough week. After being shut out of the nominations for the 2011 BET Awards, the singer and Lil’ Kim denounced their friendship in front of their Twitter followers.
“N while we’re addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not ‘friends’ I take that term very seriously. We made wonderful music. That is it,” tweeted Keyshia, who collaborated with Kim on her hit single “Let It Go.”
But the Queen Bee stung back with a series of fiery tweets. Read a selection below.
U got that right. We are not friends. The same way U take friendship seriously i take loyalty serious.
The whole world has seen me extend my hand to u over and over again.

all I’m saying is don’t have everyone thinking I was disloyal as a “friends” cause we were never that and u know it. No disrespect.

I live in Keyshia's hometown Oakland and I know people who knew her and they tell me she was a real griddy down fighter. From what I hear she don't play.
Why Kim mad? All Keyshia said was that her and Kim are not friends. I remember when Monica was talking about Keyshia Cole, she said that Keyshia told them they weren't friends, because she didn't know her like that. Monica didn't get mad, she understood where Keyshia was coming from and they grew close, now they are friends.
Let It Go is Keyshia Cole's biggest hit and a remix with Lil Kim was issued to boost chart performance. Coincidence?
Yeah, Keysh finally catering to pop crowd after having strong success from her previous single Love and featuring Missy Elliott on the track. The single performing well was solely accredited to Kim's fews bars on the song.
