SO, here's how it will go:

- There will be 64 artists playing in the game, you all will vote for fifty. I'll be back to fourteen artists that will be grandfathered in: they'll probably get the lion share of the votes, so now, you can spend your lists picking more creative choices.

- Send me a PM of your top ten artists of the 90s, minus those that'll be grandfathered in - rank/number them from one to ten. I'll want them all by FRIDAY.

Well, okay, I do like Bush, but it's mostly for nostalgic reasons, and there's no way they are in my top ten of the 90's. With all of the bands and artists making music at the time, they'd be lucky to make the top 100.

I've received six lists so far, and I must say - there's a serious lack of Ace of Base. Are we here for that? NO.

Of course Ace of Base will be making an appearance on my list.

I really want to include George Michael because I feel like this would be one of the few opportunities I have to rave about that genius on this forum. However, I am conflicted because his best work stems from Faith, and his 90s releases, though fantastic, aren't as easy to appreciate.

And is the idea of the cherrypick still in place? I'm assuming it isn't... which is probably a good thing.

And "One Sweet Day" is so not the best song of the 90s. And please don't respond to that by telling me the charts disagree.

I'd say go with it for GM. You have Freedom 90/FastLove/Praying for Time, which I think would be a killer 1-2-3 lineup.

Yeah. The cherrypick was .... it was an interesting idea ... it just ... I really cannot suffer through cherrypicks for the summer season. Hearing the 90s equivalents of Kristina Debarge and Shinedown would drive me to drink.

I wish we had more musicians like Diana Ross around.
