People have been whispering about this for a number of years. I'm not sure I buy it, but I think Jamie Lynn would be a good fit for country music.
Her country career could go one of two ways. She'll either be laughed out of town Nashville as people will assume she is a talentless hack riding her sister's coattails/relying on her famous last name, or they will embrace Jamie Lynn as the "down home" Spears who, because she did not abort her baby, is a beacon of morality in a world of amoral city-slicker teens. If they play up the latter aspect, I could really see country enthusiasts eating Jamie Lynn up.
I always wanted her to release an album during the Zoey 101 days (the theme song was such a guilty pleasure of mine ) but I'm not here for country sh!t
If her voice is versatile and unique, country will eat her up. I'd say country includes more wholesome, open people so it's a better music market, but because of the connection with Britney it'll be tough for her. I hope she succeeds though! [I'm not here for Taylor-esque country pop.]
