i have been asking myself this question.It seems lately she is everywhere.she has had two number ones so far, going for her third number one hopefully.Her album is about to hit the four million mark and it seems she has got her act together and is impressing with her vocals going by the american idol performance.it also seems she is now more popular than ever checks her facebook likes and youtube views.Did i mention her success on the worldwide charts,only girl smashed hard ,so has she proven herself as one of the top female artists in the game.

No, she still has a lot to prove.

She has proven to make big hits, but I'd like to believe that she is still not there yet because I'd like to see her improve her singing and dancing.

She still has to grace forbes, have a high grossing tour, work on her stage presence, etc etc. But she's doing better from what she used to.

Forbes is guranteed this year and her tour is shaping up to be huge but i agree she needs to start doing some serious dancing

To answer this question, I ask myself this one: would she still be successful if she was fat, ugly or old? No she wouldn't.
Plus, the fact that she can't gross **** touring, can't clinch a number one album in the USA, can't perform like a badd bysh confirms what I think: she has a long way to go.

She's just the epitome of a single artist at the moment.

It's not hard to smash if you songs are only 99 cents and thus she doesn't earn her label a lot of dough, not even talking about herself... Yet her real achievements are only #1's, which is... well... not really a thing to be proud of, because we all know sales > peaks.

She would still be successful if she didnt have her looks,why ?they are plenty of girls who want to make it in the music industry ,who are just as hot as she is and some even have a wealthy parents who have all sorts of connections but still do not make it,while a 16 yr old girl of humble backgrounds from barbados does and does it big because rihanna has that X factor. she is not a singles artist because loud disagrees

Like everyone else has said, she's proven that she can get hits/choose great songs but she stils has a long way to go as far as performances. Consistency is key and so is keeping your audience entertained. Ppl say oh well in concert she does a great job, but she should bring that same energy to award shows and such cause at this point I don't think I would ever pay to see her in concert so what I see at award shows is enough to make me say she can't perform.

I feel as though there are definitely areas where Rihanna still needs to prove herself, touring and performances being the main one. Her consistency is also an issue. But for that other person that said she needs to add more input on her image???? are u serious???? no one tells her to put on a red wig and she has credits on her albums that show she not only has a hand in her image but her music as well. But i'll just blame that on their lack of Rihanna knowledge.

I believe she has sold more albums than your fave worldwide ..and will just wait and see how much her loud tour grosses in the end.Believe me from all those sold out shows in europe ,she is bringing it

Last time I checked Bey had over 25 mill albums sold and Rih just reached 15 mills !
As for sold out shows in Europe .... O2 arena seems to sell out everytime !
