What should airplay point policy be for Hot 100 calculation?
Current BillBoard Hot 100 Singles Chart calculation:
1,000 Sales = 1 point on the BBHot100
1,000,000 Audience Impressions (radio) = 1 point on the BBHot100
Streaming: unknown (said to be only about 5% of total tally) with data from Nielsen.
For example, 160,000 in sales = 160 points.
120 million AI = 120 points
+ streaming (about 15 points)
= total.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0.5 million AI = 1 point means that 120m AI = 240 points in the calculation
2 million AI = 1 point means that 120m AI = 60 points in the calculation
3 million AI = 1 point means that 120m AI = 40 points in the calculation
1. RIHANNA - S&M: 126.057 (+ 0.383)
2. CEE LO GREEN - F**k You (Forget You): 114.278 (- 0.444)
3. KATY PERRY - E.T.: 107.835 (+ 2.382)
ADELE - Rolling In The Deep: 45.908 (+ 0.990)
JENNIFER LOPEZ f/ PITBULL - On The Floor: 45.745 (+ 1.546)
In the above example, airplay can increase in important or decrease in important in the calculation of the Hot 100.
