Songwriter Heather Bright, who penned tunes for Britney Spears' Femme Fatale (Trouble For Me,) is defending the singer after blogs criticized her for having no co-writing credits on the new album.

Gaga, Taylor and Ke$ha are songwriters but they aren't part of the super pop generation and they all lack something that Britney has/had. The perfect popstar is hard to find. I think Gaga is the perfect pop star but people will always argue against it.

I respect Britney for being honest. No-one expects her to write her music, she never really has, it's not what made her famous. She was so big because she knows how to own a stage and now she has major props just for being Britney.

She co-wrote 10 tracks on "In The Zone."

I know that, I meant it's not what she is known for, it's not what made her famous and people don't expect her to write her own music. She indeed, never really has written her own music, if she did there would be a few co-written tracks on every album. I am not denying the epicness of ITZ but Britney is not a songwriter, never has been.

Britney is so humble, real and she doesn't think she is the best (eventhough she is)

She co-wrote most of the songs from "In The Zone" (9 songs), 6 songs from Britney, 4 songs from Circus, 3 songs from Blackout and 1 song from Oops.
Also I've Just Begun (Having My Fun), And Then We Kiss and Someday (I Will Understand).

...Baby One More Time & Femme Fatale are her only albums to not have any writing credits from her.

I've always said that. A couple of times songwriters had said she didn't want to take credits when she just changed a line or a word in a song. So she indeed only has songwriting credits for songs she wrote the majority of, and it's great.

Songwriters may hear the "you want me to use your song? Credit me!" quite a lot...

She is without a doubt one of the nicest and most humble people in the business, good old southern charm. It's a large part of why she is still so famous, I sometimes wonder if she even realises how huge she is...she is so down to earth.
