It’s worse than Grease.’ Then [Murphy's] like, ‘Well, of course he’d say that, he’s a washed up ol’ rock star, that’s what they ****ing do.’ And then Kings of Leon say, ‘No, we don’t want to be on your show.’ And then he’s like, ‘Snotty little assholes…’ And it’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.

Maybe the Glee creator wouldn't retaliate like that if they weren't jerks in the first place. I mean they could just say "no thank you" instead of "i hate ****ing musicals. it's worse than grease"

By the looks of the post most bands are saying No thanks but it's the hissy fits the director has about it that make them rant.

The show is dreadful, it hasn't been good since about half way through the first series, I don't blame Dave at all.

He's not going in on Glee specifically, mainly just Ryan Murphy.

From what Ryan has said about other people just because they didn't want to be involved with Glee, he seems a bit rude. But he's the one in control of my favorite show, so I can't complain about him.

Well, I actually have no idea who David Grohl is, but he's right. Ryan Murphy is an asshole who thinks he show is everything. Artists have the right not to allow their music on the show, and Ryan needs to accept that.

How is he gonna call someone a washed up rock star, when he's the one who reached out to them in the first place? Obviously they have some sort of relevance or impact if he wants to use their music.

Despite liking Glee (moderately), I can't wait for this fad to phase out just to knock Ryan Murphy down a few pegs. He needs it.

Drummer for Nirvana and now best known for being the lead singer and guitarist in the Foo Fighters but he is involved with a lot of other things musically and has popped up in bands all over the place including Killing Joke, Queens of the Stone Age, Probot and Tenacious D.

An incredible talent and incredibly nice guy, he pretty much never bad talks anyone, being the 'nice guy of rock', he must've been pretty pissed to say this stuff.
