The other movie musicals that have sold well are Dreamgirls and Hairspray which both went Platinum, but Hairspray had Queen Latifah and Zac Efron and Dreamgirls had Bey and J-Hud.
Never the less, Burlesque had Cher and Xtina, but I think, being a typical musical lover, the music was too non-musical, and pop for musical lovers, and the movie was bad in general.
