"Nothin' on You" was originally Lupe Fiasco's track
While gearing up for latest release, LASERS, rap-super star Lupe Fiasco has surely faced a lot, first stuck in label battles for them to releasing the album -- and other in-depth revelations that surely show his struggle and commitment to his art. In an interview with The Guardian, he reveals he was 'suicidal' over the whole process, and contemplated it more after 'Nothin On You' (which turned out to be a smash success from B.O.B.) was stripped from him.
Quote:
That was the tipping point. It was less about the bruised ego but more the audacity of it. It was mentally destructive. I say it with a certain laissez-faire now because I’m past it, but back then, hearin’ that s**t, it f**ked me up. I was super-depressed, lightly suicidal, at moments medium suicidal – and if not suicidal, willing to just walk away from it all completely.”
Oooh, I've never heard this one. I think they're both great, Lupe's version wouldn't have the same popularity though, unfortunately. He's underrated and it sucks ass that he is. Hopefully Lasers people will start to notice him more.
Guess Bruno or whatever didn't want him on the song(because it actually was his song) unless something else came up...but I prefer B.o.B.'s part...and if this is the original version why does it have B.o.B's adlibs on it?

All here to stan for LUPE I think his verses are good, I'll have to get used to it though since I was accustomed to B.O.B. But in general -- LUPE FIASCO is the better lyricist.
