Move over Mark Zuckerberg, Beyoncé is the latest celebrity to get her own comic book. Bluewater Productions is releasing “Fame: Beyoncé” the comic book in stores this Wednesday, March 2, 2011. The Beyonce comic book is written by CW Cooke and features pencils by Alex Lopez.
“Fame: Beyoncé” will focus on Beyoncé’s rise through the music business, and will follow her career from her early days with Destiny’s Child to her booming a solo artist. Writer CW Cooke pointed out that Beyoncé has led a relatively private life for someone in the public eye, which means even avid Beyoncé fans could learn something new.
(ExtraChapstick Note: I highly doubt this... Lol) “We’ve found a niche with our bio comics,” said Bluewater Productions publisher Darren G. Davis. “Our success with this comic shows that there is a much wider audience for sequential storytelling than many thought. These readers are simply looking for something other than superheroes or horror. With our bio comics, we strive to bring these new readers evenhanded, well-researched looks at some of their favorite celebrities.”
The last eight FAME comic book biographies have sold out. “Fame: Beyoncé” has a suggested retail price of $3.99.

I know many of you already knew about the comic book, but it's finally been released. :] My primary gripe is that the artist(s) did an extremely poor job illustrating the majority of the comic. But hey... I guess that's why they priced it at $4.
