EDIT: I'd also like to know if you think it's a wise decision to make a new cast every 4 seasons. Personally, I hope it will last really long, because I think it's one of the best television shows ever. And not only that, because Glee is much more.
Not sure about how long it will last, I'd say maybe 4 seasons with the current cast. They obviously are going to want to do a solo career and not want to be just "that boy/girl from glee." And obviously they have to graduate sometime. xD I say they'll just keep getting new people, and it will last a while.
I can see it being a pop culture staple, but not at the same pace it's going. The storylines need to slow the **** down... they've already run through almost every single coupling possible among the glee club, and most of those only lasted for one episode, maybe two.
Maybe now because they know they'll be on the air for a third season already, they're planning ahead. I thought they were supposed to be bringing in new kids this year but Chord Overstreet is really the only new full-time cast member, right?
I actually see it going for more like 4 seasons. I think next season they will bounce back a little bit, but I think past that they will definitely run out of ideas and start getting too ridiculous. Also in a season or 2 more, these kids are going to move on to different things. A lot of them will continue to be stars...the rest will be on some VH1 show in 20 years LOL
Regardless of whether it runs for 6 seasons or not, it will still go down in Pop Culture history. It's had a huge impact on Pop culture in the US, and stars from all over have wanted to get on the show.
I can't at people putting season 2 down... It's not even over yet. :]
I totally agree with you. I'm not the greatest fan of season 2 either, but it's not even finished and with Regionals and Nationals +Charice coming up, it will definitely be epic!
The poll options are kinda strange. You're asking us if we think the show is going to stop at 3 or 6 seasons? I think it'll be done after 4 or 5. Regardless, I picked the first one since it WILL go down under pop culture history, regardless of my personal feelings about it.
in TV History? i will say maybe, well not like what FRIENDS has achieved, but maybe def bigger than most tv shows.
but i'm not sure with it, coz :
1. If they change the cast every 4 year, i don't think the fans will as excited as they before, u know, Kurt, Rachel, Finn, Quinn and even Brittany has their own fan base.
2. If they don't change the casts, well, then it will jump on the shark. (oh wait it has for me).
