On the heated tropical day of June 15th, a newly married couple would gather on a white California king bed, to reciprocate the passionate love they were dying to express. Over the sleak slow jams of Bobby Brown and Luther Vandross, and some good ole reggae collection, Mr. Ronald Fenty would ..ahem, and the rest is history. On February 20th, a night of passionate loving would birth the current Queen of the Caribbean, and a lovely new addition to the happy Fenty household. Welcomed by a fully orchestrated performance of 'Isn't She Lovely' fronted by Stevie Wonder himself, RIHANNA opened her crystal green eyes to the outside of Monica's womb. This birth would forever change history and the island of Barbados.
Skip through the quite upbringings of outdoing the other Bajan children, winning talent shows, being crowned a beauty queen, and there was the budding possibility of a future star. This star would then be discovered by Carl Sturken and his wife who were busy talent hunting after the decline of reggae stars (RIP to Shaggys career, Lumidees attempts, and we just weren't feeling Wayne Wonder). A mere later she would debut with this reggae-tinged single, which would be dragged and criticized to the muck as a 'one-hit', despite Jay-Z seeing her 'superstar' potential. Flash to now and were they right? Nope. Still here and still smashing, with 18 top 10 hits, is the beautiful RIHANNA. Today is her birthday and we're gonna celebrate BITCHES.
