Lady Gaga Hit In Alleged Rolling Stone Payola Scandal
Yesterday, Lady Gaga released her new single “Born This Way” and gays all over Orange County have voiced disgust at her for using them as marketing ploys. Many are also disgusted about "Born This Way’s" plagiarizing of Madonna’s "Express Yourself."
This morning, music industry message boards and other sites are accusing Lady Gaga of paying off Perez Hilton and Rolling Stone to hype her new album and tear other artists down. Rolling Stone published a review that read “Born This Way is much better than Express Yourself,” where author Robert Sheffield praises Lady Gaga, but tears down Madonna and falsely makes the assumption that “Express Yourself” was a ripoff of “Respect Yourself” by the Staple Brothers.
