I think most transgendered people would identify as either male or female, only certain people would identify as trans. It's most common for a transgendered person to either identify as the gender they feel they belong to, or to the gender they've transitioned into (through hormones, etc.). Sometimes they identify as a "trans man" or "trans woman."

I'm male, by the way. Not a trans male. :] Just find the specifics interesting.

I never understood everyone calling each other sis... I guess that's just the way things are on ATRL. But it certainly projects certain genders on people unless they've otherwise specified.

I do know of several (real) transgenders on this site. They're absolutely sweet, lovely people.

It's gay culture... definitely not limited to ATRL, but ATRL is a bit behind in that a lot of foreign ATRL members have picked up 2005 DGSource lingo that American ATRLers were using in 2008.
