CNN: Christina does know the words to the National Anthem
Okay, so Christina Aguilera did a lyrical switch-up while performing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
But let’s think back to happier times, when she belted out “The Star-Spangled Banner” at both Game 6 and Game 7 of the NBA finals last summer.
See? She DOES know the words!
As she said in a statement, last night was just a fluke.
“I got so lost in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” the 30-year-old singer told CNN. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it's anthem still came through.”
Yeah... the whole world is talking alright.... but why is everyone proud of the reasons for it? She's a mess at the moment. Fans should be concerned, and not happy she's making these horrible headlines.

I don't understand why so many ppl watched the super bowl just to see her perform. I love her, but come on seriously?? Anyway, a tiny mistake is very big when it involves singing about Anerica. Her voice was TERRIBLE which was shocking, and the glee girl did much better than her!!! But green and yellow baby!!!! Go Packers

This post sums up why stans are optimistic:

I mean everywhere she is talked about, every newspaper, tabloid, news program, talk show, facebook and twitter is filled with discussions about her.....good or bad, she got into the people again! If she cleans up on the Grammys, just look at the possible effects. This could be huge for Christina. She's relevant again (even for a negative reason), but the most famous personalities of this decade all thrived on headlining issues, not talent. If Christina could combine both and use it to her advantage - she can easily go back with just dropping the hottest song she could ever produce.
Why are people acting like just because she flopped at the superbowl means she will be staying in the public eye? First of all, it's bad publicity, it isn't helping her career. Secondly, by the end of the week nobody will remember who she is again. BornThisWayFriday

Are you a fortune teller or something? Do you know how to use your space bar? Hopefully by the end of the week you will be banned. BTW I reported your post

Were they talking about her in the media before the superbowl? Do they typically discuss missed-lyrics for DAYS after?
