Rats domination in Upstate NY home prompts emergency

The town of Willsboro in the Adirondacks has declared a state of emergency over a massive rat infestation in a single residence.
Town residents, concerned for the well-being of the occupant of 44 Gilliland Lane, notified town officials of a possible infestation at the home, The Sun reported.
A visit to the residence by a town code enforcement officer, a public health officer and a professional exterminator determined that it was a public health hazard.
