The superstar singer Christina Aguilera is not heading to the X Factor as a judge despite reports speculating otherwise. According to prior reports, the singer was cited as a possible "top contender" to be a judge on the new show that will make its debut in the Fall of 2011 in the United States. Simon Cowell is bringing the hit show to America. Cowell, the former American Idol judge has seen major success with the show in the past in the U.K. Leona Lewis and others were discovered thanks to the show.
As Digital Spy reports, a new source claims that Aguilera is not up for the job. Previous reports claimed that Aguilera was wanted by producers of the show, due to the broad appeal that she has; she is a successful singer, and has numerous fans who would tune in to watch her on the show. Aguilera is widely believed to be one of the more talented singers, and has sold millions of albums and has had many hit singles.
