They actually did, they started much earlier than Camila:

- Lauren started working her solo venture "Back To Me" with Marian Hills on October 20th 2015
- Dinah recorded a song with Ben James on November 11th 2015

But only Camila's solo came through and got released. I'm sure it's mainly because theirs are not done / or the producers they worked with have their release date later.

yay! Hope they comeback together after their solo work. Honestly every group should be able to take like a year or two to do solo stuff every once in a while. That way groups would stick around longer and there wouldn't be this weird resentment and stuff. K-Pop groups do this all the time.

It's super rare for every group member to have a successful solo career. I cringe every time I hear a group disband for solo careers. Fetch isn't gonna happen girls. Only 1 out of 5 usually has the X Factor or whatever you call it and everyone else is just background.

This doesn't necessarily mean they're going solo.

Working on solo projects on the side would be the most appropriate thing to do, and from the announcement they released last night, I'm pretty sure that's the route they're going in.

I love how they're going to keep both the group and their solo stuff, but hope the solo stuff and group stuff happens at different times so that they don't interfere.

I like this tactic tbh. Maybe it's because I listen to Kpop so I feel like it makes sense to have solo projects and group projects. Heck I wouldn't even mind a subunit between Normani, Dinah, Lauren while Ally focuses on something else.

I'll miss the group but they will be better off alone. maybe not success wise but it's hard to be in a group, maybe thats another reason they were so emotional last night.

It's so early in their careers to do this, they should've have stuck it out and tried to make names for themselves prior. Beyonce and Justin were both household names prior to their solo careers, and I think it made a difference.

Why are atrlers reading this as "going solo"? solo projects could mean anything, from magazine covers, to songs covers etc. Fifth Harmony will stay their priority.

If the girls didn't want to keep 5H on, this would have been a perfect moment.

That's true but honestly Dinah has something very diva esque about her (diva in the good way). She could find success with the right material. She needs to work with Beyonce's team, producers and songwriters and stuff...there's something about her.

Camila is already having some success and I can see Normani or Lauren having very minor success in their respective fields too..I think this group will have healthy solo careers in general.

Ally can also be an E News reporter for red carpets and stuff! she'll prob become the most successful in terms of longevity just from hosting events and keeping her name out there...like a female Ryan Seacrest or something!
