It hasn't even been a month since Sun and Moon have been released and i'm already bored and tired of it. It's pretty much the same for all the other Pokemon games (except emerald and HG/SS). They lack replay value imo and there's not much to do after beating the E4.

If you're not into competitive and online battles, yes. Pretty much every JRPG is done once you've finished the game. Some of them just have the option of starting again with some changes but basically the same story again.

If you were into competitive then the game could be "endless" because you would be creating many teams, strategies, testing different options, etc.

Yeah. I never played them when I was younger and when I tried one recently I found it pretty boring. I think their popularity is based more on nostalgia than quality, so of course they'll be frontloaded.

Well these along with Black 2/White 2 are the best in the series because they offer the most content and have actual challenges. The rest either don't have a satisfactory end game, are too easy, or even both compared to them. These new games (X/Y, S/M for example) don't really cut it once you finish the main story. This is if you don't do competitive battles.

Maybe that's why. I only play competitive on showdown. I dislike breeding and I don't wanna **** up my 3DS using Pkhex

If you only play the storyline then yes. I tend to put in more hours after the storyline is over because I like to breed, battle online, shiny hunt, build teams and complete the Pokedex

They lack replay value because of the lack of a decent post game. That's why GS/HGSS and to a lesser extent FR/LG were the best games, because the story line continued after the elite four.

I think it's because Sun and moon got datamine and we literally knew everything about it. It was pretty underwhelming. The last time i went into a generation completely blind was gen 3.

i bought one like three years ago (idk the name) and then they released another one and i was like this is the exact same game so i returned it like the next day

Most JRPGs also have a much, much longer story in general so a lack of post game is justifiable.

Some Pokémon games are really amazing. I can't say the same about them all, I think Black and White were quite poor. Maybe Pokémon is not your kinda game.
