Sorry if this has already been discussed before. I'm at the point of my life that i'm kinda over hooking up and I want a relationship. Most people on grindr just want sex and the ones who want a relationship are picky af.

So my question ATRL, is how do you meet gay guys outside of apps like grindr? it seems impossible. I'm not out to anybody besides friends because if my parents found out they would send me to one of pences conversation therapy camp.

There's a LGBT club on campus but i'm not really interested in joining that because the members just **** each other. I also attended a mixer event and there were literally only 5 or 6 gay guys the gay club scene is messy too. I told my gay friend about that and he was like "well, if there's a guy you like in real life you just gotta go for it, even if it's straight it's 2016, he shouldn't be offended."

Honestly that advice sounds messy. Most guys are straight and that's just a really awkward scenario. idk, do you think if I came out the closet and put vibes out there that i liked guys i would meet gay guys in real life? MY gaydar sucks and maybe other guys are in the same scenario as me? Advice is welcome

tinder has worked pretty well for me

they just come up to me when i am out at bar or club

i have very genuine warm and attractive smile that start conversations for me

If there's an LGBT community center in your city or town, volunteer there. It's a great opportunity to meet people who are willing to give back to the community and aren't just looking for a lay on a drunken night out.

I see what you mean, but whenever a guy is nice to me/approaches me beign friendly. it feels like a guessing game of " is he gay or not." there have been times i've been SURE a guy is gay, i asked to hangout and he tells me he's straight and we stop being friends

what i do is assume that every guy is straight so that ways i do not cause an awkwardness

if i am at gay event bar club or any thing that is of that nature it is fair game and i am assume that everyone like penis
