Whoops, she did it again! Britney Spears is apparently drawing a blank when it comes to recalling how the lyric, “It’s Britney, b***h!” came to be, as we discovered when the “Toxic” singer’s appearance on a San Francisco podcast.
Chatting with “Fernando and Greg’s Daily Podcast”, Spears was discussing what’s become her signature line, which the world first heard spoken in a breathy tone in the opening seconds of 2007’s “Gimme More”.
“I really don’t remember… I think we were in the studio, and me and [will.i.am] were just playing and it came out,” she told the hosts.
She said on the radio to Ryan Seacrest in 2007 that 'the producer just told me to say it' and didn't get the hype around it she probably can't remember many things in 2007, let's face it.. unless they were talking about Scream & Shout. (im sure she remembers it, as she lips it at the start of Gimme More at her POM shows)
