Islamic extremism is spreading slowly but steadily and it's affected my country I think this has to be stopped somehow before it gets worse sooner or later and spread to more countries. What do you think?
To those who's Team Islam, what do you think of Islamic extremism? If it isn't the religion, then what is? What can we do to combat Islamic extremism?
Combat extreme ideologies by differentiating Islam from groups like ISIS.
Media doesn't help when it increasingly groups the entire community of people together. Internet (social media) continues to label terrorists as Muslims when they're far from the teachings of modern citizens, hence why they're called extremists.
People think and have come to believe "Islam" is the enemy when the majority of Muslims are living their lives separately and/or within our western non-religious / Christian background communities.
You can't unfortunately undo decades of ignorance, especially the hatred directed at billions of Muslims post 9/11, and repeatedly again in recent years (enforced by terrorists who claim their acts of violence are Islamic.)
Education. Would do wonders to the world. Unfortunately not everyone is fortunate to be intelligent enough to understand the differences between people, societies, communities, etc.
"All blacks are drug dealers." Racism to everyone in the west. Discriminate against Muslims and it's somehow acceptable.
We all have A LOT of problems, and it's the small minded people who allow others to tell them what's what that are the most dangerous. No control - they watch tv, read papers and believe everything they read. Shame.
