Incredible woman! So sad what all those people are going through there and around the holidays, too. That's an amazing thing for her to do; $1k can cover rent for a decent sized apartment or house in the south; she may very well be keeping some families together and sheltered that might otherwise have ended up on the street or bouncing around shelters.
