I loved it, but it just didn't feel like your typical Disney musical. The story felt so original and fresh it's so different from the other Disney princess movies and didn't have the flaws that Frozen or Tangled had, but you can still tell that it was trying to be that. Most Disney movies have the same Howard Ashman tentpole musical story structures; the introduction song, the "I Want" song, the reprise, the villain song etc. Moana had all of that, but it just didn't fit with the story and the music just isn't as good as or catchy as Frozen's. They shouldn't have hired that Hamilton guy to do the music, he really dropped the ball on this one. They should've kept Frozen's songwriting team then the movie would've been PERFECT
