I've always wondered about Portugal.

Caribbean/Island governments, unfortunately, are not very efficient at addressing immediate social and economic concerns. I don't know where these nations stand on the corruption indices, but you have to wonder.

My island dreams have been crushed with these statistics. I'd imagine Haiti is much worse than Barbados is, especially within the last year. This really opened my eyes to just how bad some places are. I mean really, 100% more likely to have AIDS? Die 4 years sooner? Plus, not to mention all of the others. It's really sad to think people actually live in all of that.

I'm moving to Australia, right now...
