Brazilian flight attendant Rodrigo Alves has famously spent an estimated $440,000 on more than 40 plastic surgery procedures,
“I had nose reconstruction three months ago and it appears the new cartilage has been rejected by my body,” Rodrigo told The Daily Mail last week. “A horrible hole has appeared in my nostril and the infection is eating my nose and I’ve been warned if it is not stopped it could eat into my face.”
Why does Brazil have so many unstable plastic surgery addicts like this? Is it the superficial culture that places such extreme ideals on beauty and physical appearance?
